 Job presentation :

 

We are seeking a hands-on Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Master WCM Instructor to lead operational excellence across our cable manufacturing operations (12 sites + worldwide). This role is deeply embedded in the plant environment and requires strong shop-floor presence, technical understanding of cable manufacturing processes, and the ability to coach teams while delivering measurable results.

The successful candidate will drive World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean, and Six Sigma deployment while actively leading improvement projects in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.

 


2. Main responsibilities

 

This position attached to our VP Industrial Operations represents an opportunity to drive transformation in a core manufacturing business, a high visibility and direct impact on industrial performance and a growth opportunity within a continuous improvement–driven organization.

 

Your mission will include : 

  • Hands-On Continuous Improvement
    • Lead and execute high-impact Lean Six Sigma and WCM projects directly on the shop floor.
    • Apply hands-on problem solving using DMAIC, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, VSM, SPC, and root cause analysis.
    • Support production areas including stranding, extrusion, cabling, armoring, sheathing, testing, and packaging.
    • Drive waste reduction, yield improvement, OEE improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle time reduction.

 

  • Master WCM Instruction
    • Serve as Master WCM Instructor
    • Train and coach operators, engineers, supervisors, and managers in WCM pillars and Lean Six Sigma tools.
    • Certify Green Belts and Black Belts and mentor site CI leaders.
    • Develop practical, plant-specific training materials and standard work.

 

  • Culture & Leadership
    • Build a strong continuous improvement culture with visible leadership presence on the floor.
    • Coach frontline teams in daily management, problem solving, and performance tracking.
    • Influence plant leadership through data-driven insights and clear communication.

 

  • Governance & Results
    • Validate financial savings and operational benefits.
    • Track KPI improvements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, OEE).
    • Support audits, WCM assessments, and maturity evaluations.

 

  • Network & Coordination
    • Engage and collaborate closely with plant managers, operational teams, controlling managers, HR partners, and corporate functions to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
    • Consolidate gains at the group level and by Business Unit (BU) to measure overall impact and report outcomes to senior leadership.
    • Lead standardization, animate and coordinate expert committees and/or WCM pillar leaders to share best practices and ensure coherent deployment across sites.

 


3. Candidate profile

 

🎓 Technical skills

 

  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
  • Proven experience as a Master WCM Instructor / WCM deployment leader.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably cable manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with shop-floor improvement and equipment-intensive processes.
  • Demonstrated success delivering sustained cost and productivity improvements.
  • Advanced Lean, Six Sigma, and WCM methodologies.
  • Strong statistical and data analysis capability.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing KPIs and process capability.
  • Ability to work directly with operators, technicians, engineers, and leaders.

  • Highly hands-on, pragmatic, and results-oriented.
  • Strong coach and teacher with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the production floor – able to travel as needed.
