IT/OT Digital Manufacturing Solutions Engineer

📌 Job description – IT/OT Digital Manufacturing Solutions Engineer  - CDI

1. Company presentation

At Lynxeo, we are ready to electrify the industry. This means supporting equipment manufacturers with customized cabling and connectivity solutions that meet all their needs in energy, data transmission, and automation.

Our company is experiencing double-digit growth, with strong prospects for expansion and an international presence that keeps us close to our customers. We design and manufacture cables as well as complex solutions for industrial clients. With a balanced presence between Western Europe and Asia, and recent investments in Poland and the United States, our human-sized company combines local support with global reach.

Speed, responsiveness, simplicity, and pragmatism are at the heart of everything we do.

Job context

We are looking for a techno-functional manager to join our central team in Paris La Défense and work directly with the IT Domain Manager for Global Operations Domain. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build, test, learn, and deploy digital solutions in a real industrial environment. The first major mission is clear: help define and roll out Shop Floor Control (SFC) across Lynxeo sites worldwide. If you enjoy combining technology, industrial operations, solution design, vendor management, and real deployment work, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape a global manufacturing transformation from the inside.

🌟 Why join us?

This role is designed for someone who is energized by the build phase of transformation end to end. You won’t be joining to simply maintain existing tools. You will help:
•    explore the market
•    challenge current ways of working
•    select the right solutions
•    design target core models
•    run PoCs and pilots
•    deploy solutions site by site
•    create the foundations for scalable, reliable industrial applications

It is a role for someone who likes to move between:
•    strategy and execution
•    technical depth and business understanding
•    design workshops and plant realities
•    central governance and field deployment

2. Responsabilities

70% Build: this is the core of the role. You will help drive the next wave of digital solutions for Lynxeo’s Operational Domain, with Shop Floor Control as the top priority. You will:

  • investigate the market and identify the right solutions for key operational use cases
  • prepare and support RFP / vendor selection processes
  • assess solutions from functional, technical, architectural, and financial angles
  • understand current site processes and identify what should be standardized
  • define business requirements and write clear specifications
  • help shape core models that can be deployed across multiple sites
  • propose architecture scenarios together with IT and solution partners
  • co-design target solutions with business teams and vendors
  • design and coordinate PoCs, pilots, and implementation approaches
  • support rollouts across sites, including mapping, remediation, deployment follow-up, and hypercare
  • work on integration topics with SAP S/4HANA
  • contribute to additional operational digital projects such as eco passport / PEP-related initiatives

20% Run: the run part of this role is not about reacting and tickets processing, it’s about making digital solutions reliable, scalable, and fit for industrial use. You will:

  • act as Application Owner for strategic applications in scope such as Shop Floor Control solutions, Cable Design-related solutions and Planning-related solutions
  • help make sure solutions are ready for go-live and stable after deployment
  • lead stabilization after rollout and support the transition from project mode to sustainable run mode
  • improve how incidents, changes, and recurring issues are handled
  • work with vendors and internal teams to strengthen service quality and SLA performance
  • identify recurring weaknesses and drive continuous improvement
  • help secure and rationalize inherited solutions where needed

10% Consulting: you will also play a visible cross-functional role. You will:

  • represent the Operational Domain in key governance and demand forums
  • help business and IT stakeholders frame priorities and solution options
  • contribute to the Industry 4.0 roadmap
  • bring a practical view on what works, what scales, and what should be improved
  • collaborate with sites, architects, SAP teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, and external partners

How the role will evolve:

At the beginning, the role is intentionally build-heavy: 70% build /20% run / 10% consulting. In the mid-term (2-3 years), as solutions are deployed across sites, the role will naturally evolve toward 30% run. The opportunity to progressively manage apprentices/interns/junior managers will appear.
