Lynxeo, formerly Nexans ISP, is seeking a seasoned Sales and Business Development Manager to join our Automation BU team! This is your chance to be part of a fresh and exciting journey with a new company focused on innovation and growth.

Reporting to the Automation Sales Director, located in Pioltello (Italy), this position is key for the development of our business, with a high ambition on sales growth. You'll be part of a team of 5 sales managers (Germany, Italy), serving a global business with footprints in the U.S, Europe and Asia.

What about the missions to perform ?

You'll achieve sales / commercial margin objectives according to the Commercial Action Plan :  

  • Has intimate knowledge of target customers/markets, existing competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that may impact a buying decision 
  • You investigate to define the leverages Lynxeo has to develop in order to obtain profitable growth 
  • You propose a sales action plan, develops alternative action plans to improve constantly the business and budget
  • You promote value added offering, Lynxeo value proposition and reputation
  • You develop relationship & loyalty and detect continuously new opportunities for Lynxeo 
  • You propose and implement improvements in  customer and product portfolio and pricing 
  • You improve monthly Sales Forecasts Accuracy  

You identify Projects and Prospects that will generate profitable business in the short term (1 year) : 

  • You detect continuously new opportunities for Lynxeo by showing strong involvement in business development, collects information on the next projects and anticipates negotiations. 
  • You prepare a portfolio budget for year N+1 (~September) and secures profitable growth (share and commercial margin) at Key Accounts through a disciplined negotiation process  
  • You participate to the definition/change in the segment value chain : Lynxeo, agent, distributor … 

Your identifiy Trends and Opportunities for the Medium Term (next 3 years) :

  • Represent Lynxeo with customers and prospects in the field by executing the commercial action plan to maximise sales/commercial margin, in coherence with the pricing strategy defined for the segment. 
  • Collects information on new strategic trends in her/his customer portfolio, and areas and makes synthesis: family of product, new products, new standards, make or buy policy…. 
  • Contributes to the Strategic Plan on her/his portfolio (and geographical area) : market trends, mega trends, new regulations, competition inputs, new standards 

You're responsible of the offer from Request For Quotes to payment, insuring that our offers are reviewed with the customer service, legal and plants :

  • You present offers customized for each customer, and negotiates contracts/market including distributors and agent contracts. 
  • You contribute to cash collection where required, with the objective to decrease the DSO and payment delinquency.

We are searching for a candidate with a growth mindset understanding the challenges of development for a market in constant progress: agile, ambitious, fast.

- 5 to 7 years' experience 

- Experience in cable industry

- Capacity to flourish in a competitive environment  

- Excellent communication and presentation skills 

- Familiar with the use of sales tools like CRM, Sales Navigator..

- Worked in a fast paced sales environment with pipeline/ funnel management 

- Good presentation / communication skills

- Experience in direct or channel sales 

- Italian/English 

- Ability to travel on a regular basis to meet clients - Willing to travel >60%
