Lynxeo Group is a French industrial cable manufacturer with 2,000 employees worldwide and €750 million in annual revenue. The company serves demanding sectors such as aerospace, medical, and energy, and is currently structuring its ESG strategy to meet regulatory and stakeholder expectations.


Position Overview

 


We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Head of ESG to lead and coordinate our company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. This role will be responsible for defining initiatives, measuring performance, ensuring regulatory compliance (including CSRD), and embedding ESG practices across the organization to create long-term value.

Please note: This role does not include Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) responsibilities, which are managed locally by plant-level teams.

The Head of ESG will be supported by a junior team member and external consultants to assist with operational execution, data analysis, regulatory tracking, and project coordination.This structure allows the role to remain focused on setting strategic direction, engaging stakeholders, and driving company-wide ESG integration.


Key Responsibilities


Climate and Environmental Impact

  • Develop and implement strategies to measure, monitor, and reduce carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions).
  • Support the development of a clear decarbonization pathway aligned with international standards (e.g., SBTi).
  • Manage the collection, validation, and reporting of energy, water, and waste data.

Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency

  • Develop and Coordinate initiatives related to resource efficiency, recycling, and sustainable product design.
  • Work with R&D and Operations to improve material circularity (e.g., use of recycled copper or plastics).
  • Track and report progress on circular economy targets.

Social Responsibility and Human Capital

  • Lead reporting on key social KPIs including diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), employee engagement, health & safety.
  • Support HR and operational teams in implementing actions that drive employee well-being and community engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with social audit standards and human rights due diligence requirements.

ESG Management and Governance

  • Lead ESG reporting and disclosures (e.g., CSRD, GRI, SASB, EU Taxonomy).
  • Prepare the annual ESG report and coordinate internal and external audits on ESG matters.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, HR, and operations to ensure strong governance around ESG data collection, validation, and external reporting.
  • Identify risks and opportunities linked to ESG trends and advise senior management accordingly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Drive awareness and integration of ESG into business processes and decision-making.
  • Work with procurement to develop and enforce sustainable supplier policies (e.g., supplier assessments and audits).
  • Engage with external stakeholders including investors, rating agencies, customers, and NGOs on ESG topics.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of relevant ESG, sustainability, or CSR experience (consulting or corporate).At least one successful professional experience in an industrial company, with exposure to ESG-related topics
  • Strong knowledge of ESG reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., CSRD, GHG Protocol, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Experience working across functions (finance, legal, HR), Business Units, and managing
  • ESG data systems.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Able to balance big-picture vision with operational execution.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to influence decision makers
  • Experience in communicating on ESG topics, in the absence of a dedicated organization
